Create visual reminders of what you want. 

When you want to achieve a goal that takes a lot of time and effort you need motivation. Most people cannot finish long-term goals because they do not have any reminders reminding them about the goal. That is why visual reminders work, they stimulate your brain and make it stay focused on your goal, because it is being reminded, and the reminder makes sure the goal doesn’t get overshadowed by other less important priorities like watching YouTube. An example of a visual reminder is taking a picture of what your end goal looks like and sticking it on your wall or any place you go to every day. Let’s say you want to make 100k in 5 years. From now on write yourself and check and date it 5 years in advance and keep the check either on your wall or in your wallet to remind yourself of your goal.
