Work expands to the time allocated to it

Have you ever had work to do and said, “I have the whole day to do it”? Then by the time you realize it it’s almost midnight and you still have half of the work unfinished? This is Parkinson’s law. It’s when a task expands to the time given to it. So, when you want to get a task done give a realistic time based on what task it is. Be specific so you don’t spend the entire day saying you’re going to do it.
