Many small actions create a big change.

I have seen people on the internet go from a couch potato to trying to go to the gym 6 times a week. This huge change is most likely not going to stick, the reason is that the huge change can create ginormous discomfort for your body, for most people the horrible feeling will make them give up. That’s why it’s better to start small so your body can slowly get used to what you want to do. Like instead of 6 times a week starting at 3, it might seem like a waste of time but at least you are showing up.
